Olena Kuzmina spoke about «Management of Information Security Risk» at the International Conference «Corporate Governance and Internal Control»

International Conference «Corporate Governance and Internal Control» dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Global Institute of Internal Auditors and 15th of Institute of Internal Auditors Ukraine took place in Kyiv on June 1-3, 2016.

Olena Kuzmina, deputy Head of Systems, E-transactions and Information Security Department, presented a report on “Management of Information Security Risk” at the conference. Olena gave an insight into the notion of risk, the three defence lines, risk analysis, assessment and treatment process, practical application of Information Security Management System (СУІБ), and mentioned cybercrime trends.

«The main objective consists in making the information security management system a real and useful business tool. To my mind, fewer incidents and losses are a measure of efficiency of the information security management system. We can observe an upward trend in the cybercrime on the part of customers in the segment of Client-Bank and I-Banking products. Banks, in their turn, do not keep aloof, and consistently develop comprehensive sets of measures to protect both themselves and customers. Credit Agricole has high-level information security management systems, as we bring in state-of-the-art approaches in this area, – Olena Kuzmina said. – On behalf of Credit Agricole Bank, I took the lead at the country level in the development of a concept of an anti-fraud information exchange database between banks of Ukraine, NBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I believe that such data exchange system is a preventive and practical measure which could reduce the number of information security incidents at the banks, and increase the overall level of information security in Ukraine»
