JSC Credit Agricole Bank is a universal international bank in Ukraine, strategic partner to agribusiness and corporate customers, as well as one of the automotive lending market leaders. The bank is part of the international Credit Agricole Group (France), which is in the TOP 10 biggest banks worldwide by assets1, leader in bank assurance2 and asset management3 on the European market.
Credit Agricole history on the Ukrainian market
In 1993, Credit Lyonnais Group founded Credit Lyonnais Bank Ukraine in Kyiv. In 2004, Credit Lyonnais became part of Crédit Agricole Group. From the start of its operations in Ukraine, Crédit Agricole Group praised the potential of Ukrainian agrarian companies and became their strategic partner. The bank's customers were primarily international companies that were serviced by the Group's banks worldwide. In 2006, Credit Agricole Group acquired Index-Bank. Thus Credit Agricole Bank became a universal bank to meet the daily banking needs of individuals as well as businesses.

With a head office in Kyiv and 137 outlets nationwide, the bank serves 380 000 customers. Its total assets amount to USD 2.8 billion as of December 2024.
Even in the wartime, Credit Agricole shows stable operations, continuously providing service to customers and supporting the Ukrainian economy. In 2023, Credit Agricole was included in the list of the systemically important banks4, which is evidence of its crucial role in the Ukrainian economy. For the second consecutive year, the bank was named the best bank for cash management in Ukraine5. Credit Agricole also won in the categories “Banking support for Ukrainians (loan portfolio growth)”, “Banking effectiveness (return on equity ROE)”, “Banking effectiveness (return on assets ROА)” awarded by Main Financial Award of the Year6.
Credit Agricole is a reliable partner for Ukrainian agribusiness. Since the war started, the bank granted UAH 3.8 billion in loans to the agrarian companies under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%". The bank also takes part in the State Government Guarantees Program, under which it granted UAH 1.9 billion. In 2023, Credit Agricole signed important risk sharing agreements with the EBRD and IFC for the amount of EUR 240 million to support the crucial industries of Ukraine, in particular the agrarian industry. In 2025, the bank won in the category “Bank of the Year in Agro”7.
Credit Agricole Bank is among the automotive lending market leaders and the only one in Ukraine that holds the ISO 9001 international certificate in Automotive Lending category from Bureau Veritas, granting the transparent terms for car loans and high quality of customer service. In 2024, the bank granted UAH 3.3 billion in new car loans, which is 50% more compared to the previous year, exceeding the 40% market growth. The bank is an automotive lending leader9.
In 2024, Credit Agricole launched its large-scale image project for IT customers – the Code of Trust. The bank is developing its remote service channels such as СА+ mobile application, CORPEX internet bank for legal entities and CA+ Pro for private entrepreneurs, while simultaneously modernizing its outlet network.
Since 2016, the bank has been implementing its wide-reaching corporate social responsibility program «We Care!», that focuses on the four key areas: charity, environmental initiatives, volunteering and care for employees. Since the war broke out, Credit Agricole donated UAH 170 million to charity, primarily for purchasing medical equipment for the hospitals of Ukraine and to help those affected by the war.
