Credit Agricole's “Agro School” project won a special nomination in the HR-Brand Ukraine 2020 Award

10 November 2020

On November 5, the official award ceremony of the HR-Brand Ukraine 2020 Award took place, during which the “Agro School” project from Credit Agricole received the award for the “Best Leadership Development Program”. This year, more than 40 projects from 33 companies from various industries competed for the Award.

Credit Agricole’s “Agro School” is an educational project launched in 2018, which now covers all regions and units of the bank. Fifty employees of the bank have already gained unique theoretical knowledge and practical skills under the project.

“The main idea of “Agro School” is to teach bank employees to think, analyse and plan as an agrarian. By expanding agro-expertise and deepening the knowledge of the bank's specialists in the field of agribusiness, we want to maximize the level of customer service. The speakers of the “Agro School” are the bank's agro experts, as well as executives of leading agricultural companies and competent experts in the agricultural market. The peculiarity of the project is that we provide practical cases in addition to theoretical knowledge. It is very important that the participants of "Agro School" complement theoretical learning with practical training on the ground. We are pleased to note that the number of applications to study at “Agro School” is growing every year. Not only bank employees, but also our clients and partners are among the applicants, so we never stop and develop this project further!” says Natalia Porvina, Head of Agribusiness Support Department of Credit Agricole Bank.

“Thanks to the “Agro School” project, the bank employees gain unique hands-on knowledge and become direct participants in the production process. The experience gained allows us to take a different look at the activities of agricultural producers and better understand their needs. Therefore, one of the values of this project is that the bank employees understand the specifics of all areas of activity and speak the same language as the agricultural producer. “Agro School” is a program that allows us to move with agricultural producers and be a reliable partner to them," says Igor Hurzhii, Head of Agroexpertise Division of Agribusiness Support Department of Credit Agricole Bank.

HR-Brand Ukraine 2020 Award is a reputable independent competition in the field of HR and human capital management, launched in 2011. Its purpose is to identify companies’ best HR projects in the area of human resource management.

““Agro School” is a valuable element in the development of our corporate culture through the support of long traditions and opportunities for employees to be involved in the creation of agribusiness products. We see our mission in training experts in the area of agribusiness, which will support the country's agricultural market on the path of transformation and development,” says Olena Urusova, HR Director of Credit Agricole Bank.

Credit Agricole has been among the best companies to work for several years. Last year the bank was twice named among the TOP-20 employers in Ukraine: according to the “Vlast Deneg” weekly magazine and the results of the survey of HeadHunter Ukraine.
