Export to the EU: Credit Agricole and EBRD launch series of practical learning sessions for bank’s customers

Credit Agricole Bank, in partnership with EBRD and with support from Switzerland, is continuing its Project to strengthen SMEs' capacity in trade and export. As part of this initiative, a series of five practical learning sessions focused on developing exports to the EU will be launched for the bank’s customers – representatives of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.

The Project aims to help companies take the next step in entering European Union markets or increasing their sales there. The topics covered in the sessions are based on current needs, so the focus and practical case studies are tailored to the needs of companies that are already exporting their products or are just preparing to enter EU markets.

The learning sessions are held by the leading experts. The Project covers the entire process a company must go through to operate effectively in EU markets: from developing an export strategy and analyzing markets to product certification and compliance with European legislation.

Special attention was paid to establishing an export sales system, developing partnerships, organizing efficient logistics, and financing foreign trade.

The project is a joint initiative of the EBRD and Credit Agricole Bank, with funding provided by Switzerland under the EBRD Small Business Impact Fund, and is realized by the Swiss company ConsumerCentriX (CCX) in partnership with the global consulting firm Roland Berger.
