Credit Agricole Provence Cote d'Azur donated an anesthesia machine worth UAH 2.5 million for Zaporizhzhia

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Credit Agricole in Ukraine, a regional bank of the Group, Credit Agricole Provence Cote d'Azur, purchased and donated an anesthesia machine worth nearly UAH 2.5 million for the clinic “Simeynyy Likar” of Shyrokivska community, Zaporizhzhia region. The machine has already been installed and is in operation. It can measure blood gas levels during surgery and makes it possible to accurately dose anesthesia, which in the end saves patients’ lives.

“Charity is one of the important activities of Credit Agricole Provence Cote d'Azur and of Credit Agricole Group globally. With this good initiative, we once again want to support Ukraine and our colleagues, and help a hospital in the near-front zone, which specifically treats wounded children. We knew that help was needed here and now, so we implemented the project within the shortest possible time – in less than a month. We believe that the new modern anesthesia machine will help save hundreds of lives,” comments Jose Santucci, CEO at Credit Agricole Provence Cote d'Azur.

The clinic “Simeynyy Likar” is located in the frontline zone. Due to continuous artillery attacks, the hospital has been operating in an emergency mode under martial law. The initiative was implemented with the support of "Your Support" charity found.

“The hospital serves 100,000 people in the region. Provides assistance for civilians. Thanks to the new anesthesia machine donated by Credit Agricole, doctors will be able to perform more surgeries. During 5 years of our cooperation with the bank, we have implemented numerous good initiatives. Since the beginning of the war, the regional banks of Credit Agricole Group have allocated UAH 40.6 million to help hospitals and war victims in Ukraine.
