Credit Agricole signs agreement with RISOIL group, a strategic participant of international food trade

11 October 2021

Credit Agricole has entered into an agreement with the group of agricultural manufacturing companies RISOIL, which operates in particular one of the largest universal export-import terminals for transhipping Ukrainian edible vegetable oils and cereals in the sea trade port "Chornomorsk". Under the partnership, the bank finances the trading activities of RISOIL.

«We are pleased to be a financial partner to RISOIL group and join the ambitious projects of the company that drives international trade forward. That is in line with the raison d’être of Credit Agricole – working every day in the interests of our customers and society! In terms of our partnership, we not only provide financing, but also share the experience and expertise of the bank, which is part of a leading international financial group. We strongly believe that the partnership with RISOIL will boost the development of both companies!» comments Oleksandr Shelest, head of the Medium Corporate & SME Business Department of Credit Agricole Bank.

Risoil group has a large grain and oil storage capacity (up to 250 thousand tons and up to 80 thousand tons, respectively), plays a key role in food exports, and provides its services to leading agricultural producers and processors in Ukraine. The group is also currently building a new double-sided deep-water pier and designing a unique system of transshipment of cargo. This is an important facility for international trade, which will significantly facilitate grain logistics in the Southern region.

«This year, our trading company aimed to increase our volume of trade by 30% as a minimum. That is supported by a significant and for some crops even a record, yield. Given the rising price of agricultural products, more and more working capital is needed. That is why trade financing from our new partners will certainly help us in that regard,” said Dmytro Minov, director of Risoil Ukraine.

Credit Agricole holds leadership position in services to large corporate and international business customers, by meeting customer needs through a wide range of financing solutions, European level of service and in-depth expertise. More details here
