Second stage of the charitable initiative “Donor Day in Credit Agricole Bank”

On the last day of summer, our colleagues proved that being in the right place at the right time is not accidental, but may very well be a planned event. On 31 August, 11 employees of Credit Agricole Bank joined the second stage of the charitable initiative and donated blood to infant patients of the Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center. And on 1 September, the employees of the Center let us know of one life that had already been saved due to our help.

We are grateful to the employees of the Center for their support and attention throughout the entire donation process, as well as for a fascinating excursion around the Center. We will gladly continue participating in the events that help you to save lives.

«That feeling when you are going to donate blood and you are told that you’re the «special one» and will donate blood platelets on a miraculous device. What is more, you’ll be donating for a particular patient who badly needs it to recover and who has been waiting for this help for such a long time. It should be pointed out that the charitable initiative “Donor Day” has become another component of the Bank’s large-scale corporate social responsibility program «We Care!». The desire to help and contribute to charity lies at the heart of this program.

About the Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine:

The Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center is the key institution in the industry of pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine as well as the only highly-specialized medical institution in Ukraine where the most complex congenital heart defects can be corrected irrespective of patient’s age.

Owing to efforts of the clinic’s management all surgical procedures are made free of charge. The only thing that requires funds is donorship payment since blood of at least two donors is necessary for each surgery.
