“Tree for Car Loan” – Credit Agricole Bank keeps its green initiative going

On October 28, 2017 employees of Credit Agricole Bank planted 50 young trees of Mountain Ash and catalpa in Dorohozhychi Park. It was the second time that such event was held within the framework of the Bank’s project – “Tree for Car Loan” green initiative. Supporting various environmental projects is a significant element of the bank’s large-scale corporate social responsibility program “We Care!”  

Credit Agricole Bank is a leader in car lending. Every second car loan is granted by Credit Agricole. Only during the first 6 months of 2017, Credit Agricole Bank has issued UAH 1 billion of car loans and thus surpassed its own last year record.

Galyna ZHUKOVA, Board Member of Credit Agricole Bank, responsible for the Bank’s retail, digital, and network activities, said: «Credit Agricole Bank is socially and environmentally committed bank, and so we understand our responsibility for causing increase of number of cars on Ukrainian roads. And therefore we seek to contribute in preservation of the environment by planting new trees. We are grateful to the bank’s employees for proactivity and being a good example for their children».  

The event was arranged and held through active assistance of “Kyivzelenbud” Utility Company and personnel of Municipal Green Planting Enterprise of Shevchenivskyi district of Kyiv.

Market experts and media pay more and more attention to development of corporate social responsibility of large companies. Indeed, in 2016 Credit Agricole Bank was among TOP-10 Ukrainian companies taking care of the nature and actively investing in the environment (according to “Vlast deneg” weekly magazine). Yet in 2017, “Business” magazine defined Credit Agricole Bank among 10 CSR leaders. The bank’s employees participate in all-Ukrainian campaigns on urban cleaning and greening on a regular basis.
