«We Care!»: Credit Agricole Bank renovated children swimming pool

Credit Agricole Bank is a socially committed and responsible bank and therefore, it continues to carry out charity activities. Among the important implemented projects is the reconstruction at the expense of the bank of the children swimming pool in “Sportium” sports center in Mykolaiv region.

Renovation works lasted during May in order to reconstruct old and non-operating swimming pool so that children could start trainings in the summer.

This is confirmed by successfully implemented charitable initiatives including wide-scale reconstruction of the swimming pool in the child complex “Sportium”. We realize there is a problem with availability of sport equipment, grounds and premises and we invest in its resolution, thus promoting healthy lifestyle and developing sports future of the country”, Jean-Paul Piotrowski, the CEO of Credit Agricole Bank, commented. 

Opening of the swimming pool was devoted to the Children’s Day and beginning of the summer season. From 2 to 4 June, an All-Ukrainian open swimming competition took place in “Sportium” and the renovated swimming pool was tested by little sportsmen for the first time. Galyna Nechaeva, HR Director, represented Credit Agricole Bank at the event and presented well-deserved awards to the winners of various age categories.

Now they can not only recreate but also go in for sports”, Yurii Loschyts, Director of Sport and Recreation Center “Sportium”, commented.

The project was implemented as part of the corporate social responsibility program «We Care!», launched in the bank in 2016. The program covers the following areas:

• care about staff;
• charity and volunteering;
• care about the environment;
• sponsorship.

In 2017, the budget of «We Care!» program was doubled, which evidences the expansion of the project and intention of the bank to invest into social initiatives.
