Track international payments in the CORPEX client-bank using the SWIFT GPI online tracker

Corporate clients of Credit Agricole who use the CORPEX client-bank platform can now track the status of international payments thanks to SWIFT GPI (Global Payments Innovation) technology.

An international payment does not always reach the beneficiary directly. In most cases, it passes through several intermediary banks. Therefore, tracking its movement, understanding the reason for a delay, or explaining the difference between the amount sent and the amount credited can be challenging.

SWIFT GPI helps eliminate this uncertainty. It is a global standard for processing international payments that requires each bank in the payment chain to confirm completed actions and transmit information to a single tracking system.

The benefits of SWIFT GPI are now available to CORPEX users. In particular, they can:

• track the status of an outgoing foreign currency payment directly in the payment list;
• view the current stage of payment processing;
• access information about the payment route and the financial institutions involved in processing the payment;
• receive information about the duration of each stage and the total payment processing time;
• view deducted fees with a detailed breakdown for each stage of the payment route.

In addition, clients can use the UETR (Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference), a unique payment identifier. It is used to record all stages and events related to the transfer of funds. The UETR code is available in CORPEX and, if necessary, can be provided to a counterparty for further tracking.
