First Automotive Day by Credit Agricole took place for all participants of the automotive market

Credit Agricole held the first Automotive Day, which brought together all participants of the automotive business ecosystem, namely importers, dealers, car dealership management, insurance companies and opinion leaders. Representatives of Credit Agricole Ukraine and international Credit Agricole Group shared their vision of the automotive market development and plans for the future. The cozy and informal atmosphere of the bank's terrace contributed to fruitful networking.

Recently, Credit Agricole Ukraine has marked 32 years in the Ukrainian market. During this time, the bank assisted 79 719 customers in purchasing a vehicle, providing financing in the amount of UAH 27 billion. The bank cooperates with 400 car dealers and is one of the leaders in automotive lending in Ukraine, according to the Financial Club*.

“We are as usual among the leaders in terms of car loans. We finance the purchase of vehicles, including those with mileage, support car dealers who sell these cars, and serve car importers who deliver cars to Ukraine. The bank is committed to moving forward and further development,” noted Oleksandr Kurkin, Board Member at Credit Agricole Ukraine.

Roman Bunich, Head of Long & Alternative Channels Development Department, expressed his gratitude to the guests of the event, noting that the positive indicators of the automotive business became possible thanks to the efficient cooperation among all market participants: importers, dealers, dealerships, banks and insurance companies.

"We are continuously developing the bank's product range and expertise to meet the needs of all participants within the automotive business ecosystem. The bank’s auto loan portfolio is growing. We are investing in process optimization and currently 89% of loan applications receive a positive decision. At the same time, the waiting time for the bank's decision has been halved to 5 hours and 50 minutes," said Roman Bunich.

And we have already begun to observe the results of such revival of Credit Agricole activity in the auto lending market in the statistics indicating an increase in the share of vehicle purchases on credit. In 2024, the bank even outpaced the market by issuing new auto loans worth UAH 3.3 billion and grew by 50% compared to 2023. The dynamics of 2025 are even more encouraging.

But how will the automotive market develop further? How does Credit Agricole envisage its future? What is it preparing for? Emmanuel Dussussois, Deputy Head of Automotive & Mobility Group, shared his vision. He also described the forthcoming model of cooperation with customers.

Thus, Emmanuel Dussussois conducted his analysis based on cooperation with 10 000 dealers in Europe. In 2024, Credit Agricole Personal Finance and Mobility issued car loans worth EUR 20 billion. Already in 2030, according to research, it is expected that 50% of the market will have e-cars, and the share of digital customer journey will constitute 90%. Moreover, banking services will become even more tailored.

Taking into account these trends, Credit Agricole Group has significantly stepped up the development of new digital platforms. Already in 2024, 90% of agreements for private customers were concluded using digital platforms.

“And this is just the beginning. We are planning to create in Europe applications and platforms so that the customer can experience a full range of services: from 1-hour carsharing to long-term leasing. Furthermore, using the bank’s platforms, it will also be possible to sell a car with mileage or exchange it for another. And this platform is already operating in Italy”, said Emmanuel Dussussois.

We are now witnessing the emergence of the 4th generation of electric vehicles on the market, which have a range of 500-1000 km. And they will drive the demand for e-vehicles until 2030. In 2025, Credit Agricole expects 30% of e-vehicles within significant markets of the EU countries.

*Credit Agricole is the winner in the "Auto loan" nomination in the "25 Leading Banks in Ukraine" study (2024) according to the "Financial Club" news agency, 17.01.2025.
