On June 16, 2026, Le Village by Crédit Agricole, a startup business accelerator, welcomed Ukrainian delegation at the official Ukrainian Tech Night summit in Paris. The event brought together the French and Ukrainian tech ecosystems in order to raise the profile of Ukrainian startups on the international stage and to connect them with potential business partners and investors.
The event, which took place right before Viva Technology 2026, was an unprecedented success, with 424 registrations for the main summit, 70 for the UNation conference, and overflowing packed hall for the highly anticipated Defense Track. More than 300 key participants, including investors, C-level top managers, government officials, and innovators, gathered for an evening dedicated to technological resilience, strategic investments, and cross-border cooperation.
“Ukraine Tech Night in Paris exceeded all our expectation. We saw an incredible interest from our European investors, corporate leaders, and politicians. Now, it’s not only about supporting Ukraine; it’s about recognizing Ukrainian deep-tech, defense, and civilian innovation as a vital driver of Europe’s technological sovereignty. Combining French scale and capital with Ukrainian flexibility, hardened by war, we are building the future together. We are proud of such results,” Nataly Veremeeva, CEO and founder of TechUkraine.
The evening’s program consisted of three parallel high-profile tracks, followed by an official summit and networking reception:
First track: UNation conference: Innovations for Ukraine’s Recovery. UNation panel brought together international experts to develop effective technological concepts for structural recovery in such sectors as Smart Cities, agriculture, energy, and logistics.
“U-Nation was delighted to join Ukraine Tech Night by organizing a special panel regarding the role of innovation in Ukraine’s recovery. The night provided valuable insights regarding French tech ecosystem and helped us to create new connection with the international community. The most important part is that the event laid the groundwork for the future partnerships and joint enterprises that have a potential to turn ideas into real projects, supporting Ukraine’s recovery in the long run,” Yan Shapiro, founder and CEO of U-Nation.
Second track: Defense Track and Demo-Day. This track, which took place in the private format and packed the house, was dedicated to the active discussions of dual-use technologies, defense trends, and valuable combat experience that Ukraine offers to the military structures of the EU and NATO. The highlight of the track was an exclusive pitch session featuring selected defense startups from Network.VC.
“Ukraine Tech Night in Paris gave us another opportunity to showcase Ukraine as a pioneer of the next-generation standards for the global defense sector, creating complex, battle-tested innovations based on deep engineering expertise. The event highlighted the exciting prospects of Franco-Ukrainian cooperation… to scale these crucial defense solutions and strengthen the collective architecture of European security,” Dmytro Kuzmenko, CEO of UVCA.
Track 3: Main Summit and Startup Pitching. The main stage opened with welcoming speeches from key institutional leaders. Speeches by Muriel Lacoue-Labarthe (Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic for Ukraine’s Recovery and Reconstruction), Natalia Denikeieva (Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine), Emmanuel Papadacci-Stephanopoli (Deputy Director of Village by CA Paris, Managing Director of CorpoLab), Nataliia Honcharova (Board Member, Chief Operating Officer at Credit Agricole Ukraine), and Julien Schmitt (Project Director of EU4Innovation East) highlighted the critical importance of integrating Ukrainian digital and deep-tech innovations into the broader European economy.
The strategic panel “Franco-Ukrainian Synergy” focused on cross-border investment trends. It was followed by dynamic pitch sessions led by the official Ukrainian startup delegation at VivaTech, which directly connected breakthrough civilian startups with elite venture capital.
“What we saw tonight in Paris, at VivaTech, is a testament that Ukraine is becoming a leading player in global technological innovations. By providing the necessary tools for growth—including engagement with French institutional investors and private companies—France is ready to assist the development of Ukrainian tech startups and help strengthen the integration of the Ukrainian economy into the European ecosystem,” Muriel Lacoue-Labarthe, Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic for Ukraine’s Recovery and Reconstruction.
“When countries combine their strengths, innovations are turned into products more quickly, while ideas create new opportunities for economic growth. Ukraine and France have everything necessary to work together to create world-class technological solutions. Deepening cooperation between our countries will open up new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and joint projects that will strengthen the two tech ecosystems and contribute to the resilience of Europe as a whole,”
Natalia Denikeieva, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
“Le Village by CA Paris is proud to host Ukraine Tech Night and welcome such an impressive Ukrainian tech delegation. Ukrainian technology is undoubtedly among the most remarkable in Europe, as it combines deep technical expertise, entrepreneurial ambition, and exceptional resilience. We firmly believe that stronger bridges between the French and Ukrainian innovation ecosystems can create real opportunities for startups, corporations, and investors on both sides,” Emmanuel Papadacci-Stephanopoli, Deputy Director of Village by CA Paris, Managing Director of CorpoLab.
“Technology is one of the key drivers of development in the financial sector and the economy as a whole today. For us, participating in such international initiatives is an opportunity to support the development of Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem, promote the exchange of experience between Ukrainian and French partners, and open up new prospects for cooperation. We are convinced that the combination of international expertise, technology, and innovation creates a solid foundation for the development of Ukraine’s business and economy. In recent years, we have witnessed that Ukraine is not only defending its freedom but also reimagining how a modern economy and digital society can function under critical conditions. The resilience of our business and of the Ukrainian people is impressive, but what really matters to investors is that this resilience is driving unique innovations. I encourage you to view Ukraine not only through the lens of risk, but also through the lens of opportunities and partnership,” Nataliia Honcharova, Member of the Management Board, Chief Operating Officer at Credit Agricole Ukraine.
“The Global Ukraine team is pleased to co-host Ukrainian Tech Night on June 16 in Paris. Over 300 participants gathered at VBCA Paris for an evening dedicated to Ukraine’s technological potential. Ukraine is much more than a country at war. It is a thriving ecosystem of engineers, creators, and entrepreneurs who continue to implement innovations even under shellings,”
Dr. Violeta Moskalu, founder and CEO of Global Ukraine.
“This evening was the perfect combination of outstanding speakers, incredible networking between Ukrainians and international tech leaders, and, without a doubt, the best way to start off the fantastic VivaTech conference. Over the past year, this event has become a true hallmark of Ukraine’s presence at VivaTech,”
Dominique Piotet, FrenchTech Kyiv, founder of the Phoenix Fund.
“Ukraine has proven that innovation can thrive even under the most challenging circumstances. By strengthening cooperation between Ukraine, France, and the broader European innovation ecosystem, we are creating new opportunities to develop technologies, accelerate growth, and jointly build a more competitive and sustainable Europe,”
Julien Schmitt, Project Director of EU4Innovation East.
