Developing its corporate culture and the principle of equality in the team, Credit Agricole starts a traditional Diversity Month together with the entire international Group. During November, the bank promotes diversity in the team via the educational communication campaign, in particular, online events that can be joined by all employees of the Group.
The diversity principle is closely associated with the Charter of Equality by which Credit Agricole guarantees equal rights and opportunities to all employees regardless of their gender, age, health conditions, race, colour, ethnical or social origin, language, religious or political views, etc.
A good evidence of gender equality is that 39% of the TOP management of the bank are women. Credit Agricole maintains age diversity as well: 24 employees aged below 20 y.o. and 86 employees in their 60s work here.
The bank supports those who need it: 4 employees stay in the Joint Forces Operation zone with retention of their employment and salaries. In 2014, the bank helped nearly 100 employees from the Joint Forces Operation zone (ATO zone early) to move to the peaceful territory, employed them in different regions, and helped accommodate in the new places of residence.
Being governed by the principle of inclusiveness, the bank employed 112 people with disabilities. Credit Agricole respects motherhood: 214 employees are currently on maternity leaves.
“Diversity culture is of a high priority for Credit Agricole, which is stated in our AIR 2025 development strategy. We understand that we all are different; we accept our differences and respect our colleagues. The development of social and cultural diversity is key to stable and productive relations in the team. We believe that through respect and support of human rights, the bank facilitates the development of the society, ensures its own resilience and sustainable growth, and improves its performance”, Olena Urusova, HR Director of Credit Agricole Bank, tells.
Credit Agricole is an employer with flexible approach, and it offers comfortable working conditions to its team. Inter alia, the Head Office staff can work either at the office or from home.
«Developing the principles of equality and diversity, we are governed by the Ukrainian and international regulations, as well as by the best practices of the Group. At the Group level, it was stated that at least 40% of women should be represented in the management. Today, the percentage of women holding managerial positions – heads of units, branch managers, etc. – is 61%. In terms of the remote work, the planned ratio is 70% of people working at the office and 30% of people working remotely. However, taking into account the changes in the epidemiological situation, we normally maintain it 50/50 and do not insist on anything more”, Olga Peronkova, Head of HR Department Methodology of Credit Agricole Bank, tells.
As part of diversity principle implementation, Credit Agricole supports the development of young professionals. Thus, the Young Professionals project within which the bank engages the talented youth to digital transformation has started this year. The second wave is being planned: 15 second and third-year students will be prepared for the positions of future analysts, IT specialists, and process robotization professionals.
