Every November, Credit Agricole Ukraine together with the international Group celebrates the Diversity month. Throughout the month of November, the bank promotes inclusion via communicative educational campaign for all staff.
As early as in 2020, Credit Agricole enshrined the diversity principle in its Charter of Equality, in 2024 it became one of 28 banks to sign the Charter for the Financial Inclusion and Reintegration of Veterans in Ukraine by the National Bank of Ukraine and the EBRD. Responding to the present-day challenges, the bank takes special care to create an inclusive environment for customers, developing physical and digital accessibility of services. By the end of the year, we are planning to increase the number of inclusive outlets to 40. Such outlets are going to be equipped with ramps, lifts, employee call buttons, accessible entryways and other solutions for people in wheelchairs, people with reduced mobility and people with visual impairments.
We are a modern bank working with and for people. One of our priorities was to create a maximum of training tools for the teams to expand their knowledge, which will help provide high-quality service to all our customers, as well as improve communication in teams. Over the past year, we held a series of training webinars for employees dedicated to interaction with people with musculoskeletal, vision, hearing and mental disabilities. In addition, we launched an interactive training course “Fundamentals of Inclusive Interaction”, which explores the topic of communication and assistance to people with and without disabilities. Now, everyone can learn sign language with us by attending video lessons. Inclusivity is our new normal and we are making strides in creating a barrier-free environment
Credit Agricole supports mobilized employees and veterans by:
- paying average salary to mobilized employees
- offering mental health and legal support through experts
- providing charitable aid to employees whose health or home was damaged due to the armed aggression
- offering flexible work hours for colleagues.
“In 2024, we adopted the Veterans Support Policy in order to provide the needed help to veterans and their families. With a view to achieve this, we implement targeted programs and guarantee equal access to benefits, services and opportunities, we also facilitate professional integration of veterans in the civilian life. 66 of our employees serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two of them are women who volunteered to enlist. We are a human-centric bank upholding its core values of inclusion and care for employees”, - comments Olha Peronkova, head of Social Programs Support of the Human Resources Department at Credit Agricole.
The bank maintains constant contact with mobilized employees and veterans, has dedicated communication channels and a responsible coordinator. Credit Agricole employees undergo courses on tolerance and barrier-free communication.
A clear indication of gender equality is the fact that currently 56% of management positions in the bank are held by women. Credit Agricole supports age diversity: there are 11 employees under 20 years old and 80 employees aged 60 and older.
Guided by the principle of inclusion, the bank employs 106 people with disabilities. Credit Agricole also holds motherhood in high regard: 152 employees are currently on maternity leave.
