This spring, We Care! marks its 10th anniversary. Having emerged as a small volunteer initiative, with the annual budget of UAH 200 thousand, it has grown into the strategic corporate social responsibility program, aimed at supporting the society.
The program is closely linked with Credit Agricole Group strategy, which involves investments in the recovery of the society. It covers four key areas: charity, volunteering, care for employees and environmental initiatives. Implementing the charity projects by Credit Agricole is based on the support from the international Group and the regional banks. About 10 of them act as donors for the Ukrainian initiatives, while the team in Ukraine in cooperation with charity funds ensures their realization.
One of the core focuses of the program is procurement of medical equipment for hospitals and helping children. Namely, in 2025, jointly with Children of Heroes charity fund, we organized four recreational groups to go on vacations in the Carpathians for over 200 children of the deceased defenders of Ukraine. Another important area of interest is supporting children in need of palliative care. Credit Agricole Group channeled UAH 8.2 million to procure the vital equipment for children from the House of Butterflies of the City of Goodness rehabilitation center.
Credit Agricole Group also provides systemic support to Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center, the total amount of charity for which exceeded 50 million UAH. The fourth assistance tranche has been initiated recently: Nord de France, regional bank of Crédit Agricole Group, finances installing uninterruptible power supply batteries. The project is implemented in cooperation with “YOUR SUPPORT” charity fund.
To date, supporting Kyiv Perinatal Center is the bank’s most large-scale charity project in Ukraine.
“Since the start of the full-scale war, Credit Agricole Group allocated over UAH 190 million for charity, in particular to support Ukrainian hospitals nationwide. Charitable initiatives by WeCare! manifest as concrete changes for the people: support for the Children of Heroes, chance at life and recovery for preemies, saved lives of people in need of blood donations, aid to boarding homes and hospitals that operate in extremely challenging conditions... Herein lies the very essence of WeCare! that Credit Agricole has realized for 10 years now. This award is another proof that we are moving in the right direction, – comments Olena Tokar, head of Brand and Communications Department at Credit Agricole.
Credit Agricole is a socially responsible bank. Since 2016, the bank has been cultivating We Care! corporate social responsibility program. Since the full-scale invasion, over 100 initiatives have been implemented worth over UAH 190 million cumulatively.
