Credit Agricole becomes general partner of ESG Leaders Assembly

28 October 2026

Today, ESG is not limited to strategies and reports, it is about specific solutions that help businesses remain sustainable and continue growing even in challenging conditions. These issues became a central topic of the ESG Leaders Assembly: “Responsibility that comes at a price”, for which Credit Agricole became a general partner.

During the event, Larysa Bondarieva, chairwoman of Credit Agricole’s Management Board, opened with a welcome speech and presented a topic “Who finances responsibility? How Credit Agricole helps businesses change.”

“For Credit Agricole, the responsibility toward Ukrainian businesses has two aspects: preparing customers for European integration and enhancing their resilience in times of war. In the long term, we rely on the support and expertise of the Credit Agricole Group to help businesses prepare for new requirements. At the same time, our task today is to help customers navigate this difficult period and continue operating,” highlighted Larysa Bondarieva.

During her presentation, she talked about the challenges facing Ukrainian businesses today: the need to strengthen energy resilience, adapt to changes in logistics and staff shortages, diversify production capacity, and seek new export routes.

Special attention was paid to the role of financial instruments in implementing sustainable development projects. Credit Agricole continues to finance investment projects of Ukrainian companies, in particular by utilizing partnership programs with international financial institutions such as the EBRD. The bank also helps customers incorporate ESG criteria during the investment planning stage.

Examples of such support include financing energy sustainability projects, such as the construction of a 23-MW mini-power plant in the west of Ukraine and a 2.7-MW solar power generation project with an energy storage system for an SME in the Kyiv region.

For Credit Agricole, ESG means not only responsibility but also practical solutions that help Ukrainian businesses operate, adapt to new challenges, and confidently build their future.
