Credit Agricole joined PROSTIR national payment system

Credit Agricole concluded the accession agreement to join the PROSTIR national payment system*. Becoming a member of PROSTIR payment system is our step as a systemically important bank towards supporting the strategic development of the state payment system and the country’s economy at large. Soon, the bank is planning to connect its own network of payment devices (ATMs and terminals in outlets) to PROSTIR as the acquirer bank**.

“After all the settings will have been made, PROSTIR card holders will be able to use the bank’s entire infrastructure: 127 outlets and over 270 ATMs in Ukraine. It will enable further expansion of the nationwide service network of PROSTIR cards to 95% coverage” - comments Dmytro Kovalenko, Head of Corporate Marketing and Products Department at Credit Agricole.

In the context of the full-scale war it is crucial to ensure that our citizens who are holders of the PROSTIR payment cards are able to use them on the entire territory of the country. That is why Credit Agricole connecting to the system and further expansion of the PROSTIR card infrastructure are of great importance», – pointed out Olha Vasylieva, Deputy Director of the Payment Systems and Innovations Department.

Since 2022, Credit Agricole has been included in the list of systemically important banks. Meaning that we are playing the major part in ensuring resilience and development of the financial system and economy of our country.

*PROSTIR is the national card payment system created by the National Bank of Ukraine. There are 52 institutions participating in the system.
