Credit Agricole donated over UAH 300 thousand worth of sophisticated medical equipment – an automatic ref-keratometer – to Stavyshche hospital of Kyiv region. It is a high-speed precision ophthalmic instrument for detection of visual impairments, corneal curvature measuring and contact lens fitting. This charitable initiative has been implemented with the help of “YOUR SUPPORT” charitable foundation.
The new ref-keratometer has already been placed in the hospital, it consists of several key parts: diagnostic device, sensor monitor, chin rest for the patient, built-in printer and ophthalmic electric table. According to doctors, such equipment drastically improves diagnostic accuracy and facilitates the patient examination process.
“On the daily, we are faced with a large number of patients in need of the quality high-accuracy diagnostics, therefore access to precision equipment is imperative for us. The new ref-keratometer greatly opens up our possibilities – it has a wide range of eye measurement modes, enabling us to quickly determine the main visual parameters and select the optimal correction. Thanks to automatic settings, the system automatically finds the correct eye position and adjusts the device to the patient, making the examination quick and convenient. The doctor can immediately view the results on the touch screen monitor and print them using the built-in printer. New equipment enhances our work and enables us to make prompt decisions regarding further treatment of patients”, - comments Kateryna Mykolaivna, ophthalmologist.
“Timely diagnosis is the key to successful treatment, especially when it comes to vision. For regional hospitals, updating the material and technical base is paramount, as it allows hundreds of people to receive high-level care without having to travel to large cities. We are grateful to Credit Agricole for their trust and consistency spanning over the years. We do more than cooperation on procuring equipment – we create the environment for the Ukrainian medicine to become more accessible and effective even in the most trying times”, – shares Valeriia Tatarchuk, founder and director of “YOUR SUPPORT” charitable foundation.
Stavyshche hospital is a medical institution that provides inpatient and outpatient medical care to about 22 thousand residents of Stavyshche territorial community, as well as to residents of neighboring communities. Last year alone, about 88 thousand patients were treated here: over 84 thousand outpatient consultations and 4.6 thousand inpatient ones.
“We are well aware of how important it is to provide medical institutions with modern equipment, as it affects the quality of patient treatment and surgical intervention by doctors. That is why Credit Agricole offers systemic support to hospitals nationwide by helping them with procuring the needed equipment. When the full-scale war broke out, the bank poured significant resources into the charitable initiatives, namely for supporting the healthcare institutions. UAH 190 million is the outcome of We Care! corporate social responsibility program in the wartime. We strive to be where support is truly needed», - comments Nataliia Savchuk, Commercial Sector director at Credit Agricole.
