Credit Agricole has donated a family-type house within the “Home for Children” project by “Your Support” Charity Fund and Katia Osadcha

11 December 2024

Credit Agricole in partnership with “Your Support” Charity Fund and Katia Osadcha made the dream of a large family from the Donetsk region come true. The International Group financed the purchase of a family-type children’s house worth over UAH 3 million. This is the second family the bank has helped within the “Home for Children” project. Recently, top management of Credit Agricole together with benefactors have visited the Biletski family in their new cozy home.

“I am extremely happy to see the delighted eyes of the children who have their own room, their own bed, their own table. Now they feel protected, because now they have their own home. This is the second house we have purchased with Credit Agricole. I am really pleased that the businesses join in on such important initiatives”, comments Kateryna Osadcha, TV presenter, founder of the “Home for Children” project.

Larysa and Serhii Biletski are raising 10 children and lived in their own house in the city of Pokrovsk before the full-scale invasion.

“In March 2022, the shelling started and our district, our house was under attack. We had to hide in the garage with our children. Then we evacuated to Italy. It was hard, as it is a foreign country, our children could not understand why we were taking them somewhere, what it was for. They wanted to be back home, on their beds, with their toys. After a year and a half, we made the decision to come back”, says Larysa Biletska.

Generally, Credit Agricole Group, together with the Ukrainian bank have allocated more than UAH 6 million for the purchase of two family-type children’s houses. This good deed was timed to the 30th anniversary of the bank’s operation in Ukraine.

“I am very glad that I visited this large family. They lived in the Donetsk region, where their house was completely destroyed due to the war. At Credit Agricole, we decided to support this family and help them build their future in a new house in the Kyiv region”, says Carlos de Cordoue, Chairman of the Management Board at Credit Agricole.

We implemented this good initiative within the “Home for Children” project together with Katia Osadcha and “Your Support” Charity Fund, as well as in cooperation with Dariia Herasymchuk, Advisor-Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Child Rehabilitation. The project is designed to support families raising more than 10 children and who have lost their own house due to the war. There are over 300 of such families in Ukraine as of today.

“We provide a lot of support to family-type children’s homes, as they give the children the opportunity to feel the familial love, to know what it means to have mom and dad, brothers and sisters unlike living in the orphanage system with the cold wall”, adds Valeriia Tatarchuk, founder of “Your Support” Charity Fund.

Credit Agricole is a bank of good deeds that is actively developing its “WeCare!” corporate social responsibility program. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the bank has allocated UAH 150 million to charitable initiatives.
