Credit Agricole supported emotional recovery camps for children who suffered a loss

21 August 2025

Credit Agricole keeps supporting initiatives aimed at helping children affected by the war. In this case, jointly with Children of Heroes Charity Fund, we helped organize four camp sessions in the picturesque Carpathians for 225 children who lost one or both parents because of the war in Ukraine. In total, Credit Agricole allocated over UAH 5,000,000 to support the children’s emotional recovery and help them form a new outlook for the future.

The latest session that took place from July 13 to 19, was also joined by 35 guardians. The team of Children of Heroes Charity Fund know from experience that when caretakers get mental health support of their own and replenish their energy levels, it positively affects the process of adapting to the loss and child’s development.

Camp curriculums included:

  • individual and group psychotherapy;
  • art therapy;
  • hikes and sightseeing tours;
  • group activities, disco dances, themed events and many others.

Each camp like this becomes a safe space for children of Heroes, where they gradually restore their trust in the world, overcome their fears and anxiety and find the support they need.

We at Credit Agricole will keep doing everything in our power to support the children of Heroes on the road to psycho-emotional recovery.

“Since the war outbreak in Ukraine, Credit Agricole has taken a strong social stand, focusing effort on supporting customers, employees and society. Credit Agricole entities donated over UAH 186 million for charity to support 100+ charitable initiatives. Our greatest inspiration is the realization that our actions bring tangible benefits for real-life people”, – shares Viktoriia Torianyk, Head of Brand and Communications Department at Credit Agricole.
