Credit Agricole Ukraine joins Forces with eAgronom and Agrosem LLC to Drive Sustainable Agriculture through ACA Program

23 January 2025

This collaborative initiative empowers Ukrainian farmers with sustainable solutions, financial support, and carbon market opportunities.

Credit Agricole Ukraine signed an agreement with eAgronom, the agriculture-focused climate tech company, and Agrosem LLC to launch the Agriculture Climate Adaptation Program (ACA Program). This collaborative initiative is designed to empower agribusinesses in Ukraine to transition to sustainable agricultural practices while unlocking financial and environmental benefits.

The ACA Program provides agribusinesses with a comprehensive suite of services to ensure a seamless transition to sustainable practices. These include expert consultations on sustainable production techniques, selection of land plots to maximize the effectiveness of green initiatives, and the development of detailed transition plans complete with capital investment calculations. Participants also benefit from tailored financial solutions from Credit Agricole Ukraine, which are fully integrated into the transition strategy. To ensure long-term success, the program offers progress monitoring and ongoing consultation, along with the opportunity for farmers to generate additional income through carbon credits issuance.

By combining eAgronom’s carbon expertise with Credit Agricole’s tailored financial products and Agrosem’s agricultural solutions, the ACA Program delivers a seamless path for farmers to embrace sustainable practices that protect soil fertility and boost profitability.

“This partnership is an important step towards a more sustainable agricultural future for Ukrainian farmers,” said Robin Saluoks, CEO of eAgronom. “At eAgronom, we are committed to equipping farmers with the tools they need to transition to greener practices while benefiting from the growing carbon market. Together with Credit Agricole Ukraine and Agrosem LLC, we are making this vision a reality.”

The ACA Program also creates a unique opportunity for farmers to contribute to global climate goals while investing into their soil health. By generating carbon credits, participants can benefit from an additional revenue stream, making sustainability not only achievable but profitable.

"We look forward to a fruitful partnership with eAgronom and Agrosem, since we are united by our common goal - support agribusiness and common values of sustainable development," said Alexandre Tchesnakoff, Member of the Management Board at Credit Agricole Ukraine. "An important direction of our work is the development of ESG principles of corporate management, as well as practices of sustainable agricultural production. Our strategy is to help Ukrainian agribusiness achieve the highest international standards of production by saving energy, resources and reducing carbon footprint. Together with our partners we sow the seeds for a greener future!"

About eAgronom

eAgronom is an agriculture-focused climate tech company founded in 2016 by Robin Saluoks and Kristjan Luha in Tallinn, Estonia. Using real-time agri-tech monitoring programs in addition to on-the-ground educational outreach, eAgronom helps farmers adopt sustainable practices in a financially viable way for the good of their farms and the entire planet. Soil health is at the heart of eAgronom’s work and the bedrock of its carbon offsetting and insetting programs, which subsidizes farms working to restore and regenerate soil, the second-largest natural carbon sink on Earth. Working directly with independent farmers and major agricultural conglomerates to implement crop monitoring from fields, automated reporting, crop and yield plans, farm activity schedules, and more, eAgronom has modernized hundreds of thousands of hectares across Europe and Africa.
