Ihor Hurzhii, head of Agroexpertise Division at Credit Agricole, receives French Order of Agricultural Merit

Ihor Hurzhii, head of the Agroexpertise Division of the Agro Business Support and ESG Department at Credit Agricole, received the Order of Agricultural Merit from the Ministry of Agriculture of France. This is one of the most prestigious international industry awards, presented for significant contributions to the development of the agricultural sector and the promotion of professional expertise. The ceremony took place at the Embassy of France in Ukraine.

Ihor Hurzhii has a degree in agriculture: he graduated Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University and studied at the Romanian University of Agroeconomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest. Ihor also completed specialized studies in France at the University of Lille, a school that trains engineers in the fields of agriculture, agri-food, the environment, and landscape.

Ihor Hurzhii has been working at Credit Agricole for 10 years and currently leads the bank’s Agroexpertise Division. His work focuses on supporting agribusinesses, in particular providing technical consulting on agricultural producers’ analysis and assessing the ESG profiles of agribusiness customers. Ihor Hurzhii regularly participates as a speaker at the industry conferences and joins educational initiatives.

“This award is a valuable testament to the importance of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and France, which creates new opportunities for the development of the agricultural sector,” comments Ihor Hurzhii.

This is not the first time that Credit Agricole employees have been honored with the highest awards at the Embassy of France in Ukraine. Previously, Carlos de Cardoue, head of the Management Board, received the National Order of Merit.
