Crédit Agricole named best bank in France 2023

11 December 2023

At a ceremony in London recently, The Banker, part of the Financial Times group, revealed the winners of its Bank of the Year Awards 2023. The rankings are based on analysis of banks’ strategic initiatives, technological progress and product and service innovation. Crédit Agricole was for the first time chosen as the best bank in France.

The judging panel praised the Group’s ambitions and initial concrete achievements in relation to mobility, noting in particular the launch of its joint venture with Stellantis to create a European leader in long-term leasing, the creation of CA Auto Bank, the acquisition of Leasys Rent (renamed Drivalia) and the acquisition by CAL&F of an equity stake in Watèa by Michelin. The rapid growth of Amundi Technology, which now provides hi-tech solutions and services to more than 55 customers, and the quality of its unique ALTO* Sustainability platform, were also singled out for praise. Lastly, the Group was recognised for launching J’Ecorénove mon logement, which helps French people make their homes carbon neutral, as well as progress on its climate strategy more generally.

These various themes were submitted to the judging panel as examples of the strength of the universal banking model and the ever-expanding range of services made available to Crédit Agricole’s customers. The Group was represented at the awards ceremony by Hubert Reynier, Senior Country Officer for the United Kingdom.
