Crédit Agricole named best bank in France for the 3rd year running

23 December 2025

At a ceremony in London on Wednesday 3 December, The Banker, part of the Financial Times group, revealed the winners of its 2025 Bank of the Year Awards. The rankings are based on analysis of banks’ strategic initiatives, their technological progress and innovations in products and services.

For the third consecutive year, Crédit Agricole has been named the best bank in France.

The jury was impressed by several of the initiatives selected to illustrate Crédit Agricole’s model and its commitment to continuously providing its customers with better support and addressing societal challenges.

These notably included two external growth operations by CA Indosuez Wealth Management which will enable the Group’s wealth management arm to establish itself as a European leader in its market and to offer its customers a wide range of products and services.

In the technology domain, Amundi’s acquisition in November 2024 of aixigo, the tech company behind a range of modular, high-value added services for distributors of savings products, will enable it to accelerate its growth in this market segment and expand its geographical coverage, particularly in Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

In terms of products and services, youth support solutions including the “C’est carré” programme and the schemes launched to assist young people with housing, studies and learning to drive, helped us to stand out.

Crédit Agricole Santé & Territoires’ expansion to meet the primary healthcare needs of people all over France and support society’s adaptation to ageing, alongside Crédit Agricole’s ongoing support for the energy transition, were also among the themes submitted for the jury’s consideration.

Atul Sodhi, Senior Country Officer for the United Kingdom, and Adrien Cassanet, General Manager of Crédit Agricole S.A. UK Branch, represented the Group at the awards ceremony.
