Association of Ukrainian Banks awarded two Credit Agricole employees on the occasion of Volunteer Day

15 December 2025

Right before the Volunteer Day, the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) organized a formal event awarding the most active volunteers of the financial and banking sector. Two of Credit Agricole employees, Liudmyla Kysleiko and Mariia Hut, who have been actively volunteering since the first days of the full-scale invasion, received the respective awards.

Liudmyla Kysleiko is the manager of the 2nd Credit Agricole outlet in Vinnytsia. Together with her husband, she has been volunteering for over three years: they provide drinking water to the military units, hospitals, oncology centers, and the Regional Children Rehabilitation Center that treats children with the lesions of musculoskeletal and nervous system. For their good deeds, the couple received multiple awards, letters of appreciation, commemorative chevrons from many different military units and institutions, yet what motivates them the most is helping others and bringing victory through big and small actions.

“For us, volunteering started from the first day of the full-scale invasion, when our daughter, who at that time was only 16 years old, asked to provide a volunteering hub with a drinking water. I recall that day and admire our young people that became incredibly active from the very beginning. From then on, we have been working on different requests from our defenders – apart from water, we are trying to help them within our capabilities. It can be cables, saws, laptops, drones, wheels, as any help is very important. I believe, in such times, every conscious person should find opportunities to help the best of us – that is how I call our soldiers thanks to whom we’re alive and well. We do this to set an example for our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We are not planning on stopping, until our victory,” tells Liudmyla.

Mariia Hut is a senior economist for banking operations accounting in Ivano-Frankivsk regional outlet. Her volunteering journey began long ago, yet she became more active after February 24, 2022. She participates in preparing lunches for the defenders and the most vulnerable groups of population, specifically displaced persons and elderly.

“The most memorable case was when I brought lunch to the soldiers, and one of them said that he hadn’t had hot food for over a week, while the only thing left for him was borshch without the stew. Never in my life had I felt so sad. This work is not always an easy one – both mentally and physically – yet it brings strength, inspires with so many sincere people around, and reminds that even the smallest help is very important. I don’t intend to stop because I believe that while I have the strength, I have to support people that need it the most. Thanks to the bank’s Management Board, I have the opportunity to take an additional time off for my volunteering. It is a very important support,” says Mariia.

We are proud of our employees. Their achievements are the best reflection of bank’s corporate policies and values, their key components being taking care of the customers and the society. Over 100 good initiatives reaching UAH 190 million from the start of the full-scale invasion, this is the result of the “We Care!” corporate program of social responsibility. These are not just numbers; these are thousands of people to whom the support was provided thanks to the kindness of others. Our biggest inspiration is the realization that our actions provide real benefit to specific people.

Credit Agricole Bank is a socially conscious and responsible bank that confirms its status through a range of different projects within “We Care” corporate program of social responsibility. Volunteering is one of the key components of this program: employees are provided with the additional paid day off for their volunteering activities. Moreover, on a regular basis, the bank organizes corporate Blood Donor Days, charitable marathons, and an opportunity to participate in other charitable initiatives as part of the “We Care!” social responsibility program.
