UAH 800 thousand worth of medical equipment for Uman Central City Hospital

25 November 2025

Credit Agricole donated modern medical equipment – a bicycle ergometer worth UAH 800 thousand for Uman Central City Hospital. It is a special stationary bike for testing the cardiovascular system. It measures the body's response to physical exertion and helps to diagnose heart diseases. This good initiative was implemented with the support of the charitable foundation "Your Support".

The new bicycle ergometer has already been installed in the hospital; it consists of three blocks and includes an exercise bike, an ECG device for recording a cardiogram, and a computer module with a system unit, printer, and monitor. The ECG system records the heart activity at rest and during physical exertion and helps detect heart rhythm disturbances and other heart diseases. In addition, the computer module collects all data from the bicycle ergometer and ECG, analyzes and stores them.

According to doctors, the new equipment will give a chance at life to even more patients with cardiovascular diseases.

“Every day, we encounter a large number of patients who need high-quality and accurate diagnostics, so access to high-precision equipment is crucial for us. The new bicycle ergometer enables the recording of an electrocardiogram during physical exertion, which allows for timely diagnosis of heart pathologies even in a latent form. While pedaling, the system automatically calculates the required load and target heart rate. All software is modern and highly accurate: the monitor displays pulse rate, blood pressure, and electrocardiogram indicators in real time. The new equipment facilitates our work and gives us more chances to provide urgent care to patients”, - shares Liudmyla Lisachenko, medical director of Uman Central City Hospital.

Uman Central City Hospital is a multi-disciplinary cluster medical institution that provides specialized medical care to 257 thousand residents of Uman district and displaced persons. The hospital has 372 inpatient beds with 24-hour care and 137 outpatient beds.

“Since the war broke out, we have focused even more efforts and resources on charitable initiatives. The focus is on supporting medical institutions, because it is now critically important to provide them with modern equipment that saves the lives of Ukrainians. Since the beginning of the war alone, Credit Agricole has allocated over UAH 190 million to various charitable projects. This is part of Credit Agricole’s philosophy – to be where help is needed most”, - notes Maryna Cherneha, commercial sector director at Credit Agricole.
