Credit Agricole Bank is the general partner of the “French Spring” festival in Ukraine

06 April 2021

The press conference addressing the opening of the 17th “French Spring” festival – one of the most awaited events of the year dedicated to cultural exchange between France and Ukraine, took place in Kharkiv on March 25. It is the sixth time that Credit Agricole supports the festival as the general partner.

This year, activities held within the festival’s framework are planned to cover eight cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Rivne and Kharkiv. Rich cultural program is planned to include street performances, concerts, film screenings, photo exhibitions, and intellectual discussions. The significant and expected performance “I am a dream” by the French company “Spectaculaires, Les Allumeurs d’images” is planned to take place with the participation of the Ukrainian band “Dakha Brakha” at Sofiiska Square in Kyiv. Unfortunately, due to the difficult situation caused by coronavirus organizers had to postpone indefinitely some activities in red zone cities.

The pandemic of COVID-19 compelled to search for new formats and balance between maintaining the contact with audience and continuing cultural activities while meeting all safety-related requirements. For this reason, the topic of this year’s festival is “In the open air” as that of impressionist painters who put their easels in nature to paint “from life”. Such format allows visiting photo exhibitions and concerts with following all safety measures.

“Credit Agricole has been a general partner of the event and the French culture ambassador for the sixth time.  We sincerely enjoy promoting business and cultural exchange between Ukraine and France every year. The year of 2020 was a challenge, so we all were missing warm atmosphere and unforgettable impressions the “French Spring” is full of. Moreover, I believe that today it is important to get positive emotions from diving into cultural events more than ever. While observing all safety measures, of course. Continue your cultural enrichment while keeping yourself and your families safe!” commented Carlos De Cordoue, the Chairman of the Management Board of Credit Agricole Bank.

Organizers of the festival are the Embassy of France in Ukraine, the French Institute in Ukraine, the Alliance Française network in Ukraine. The detailed information about the program is available at the link http://printempsfrancais.com.ua/uk/
