Credit Agricole has implemented the third stage of the charitable project for the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center

26 September 2025

Charitable support for the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center has reached UAH 50 million, which Credit Agricole has allocated to the medical institution since the beginning of the full-scale war. Recently, thanks to Crédit Agricole Nord de France, we implemented the third stage of the project: we purchased an ultrasound diagnostic device worth UAH 4.8 million.

Credit Agricole and the Perinatal Center are connected by years of close cooperation and friendship. This large-scale charitable project began at the end of 2023 with a major renovation of the unit worth UAH 2.3 million. In the summer of 2024, the Perinatal Center was gifted UAH 42.5 million worth of medical equipment necessary to save children's lives. Recently, the top management of Credit Agricole Ukraine have visited the neonatal intensive care unit and presented the newly purchased ultrasound diagnostic device.

“This initiative is special for us. This is the largest charity project in the history of Crédit Agricole in Ukraine. And it is about saving children's lives. It is also a testament to the solidarity of the international Credit Agricole Group with Ukrainians and proof that support has no borders. I am grateful to Crédit Agricole Nord de France for new investments in the recovery of the Ukrainian nation,” - Carlos de Cordoue, Chairman of the Management Board of Credit Agricole.

Over 2 years of implementation, this charitable initiative has united the efforts of 4 institutions of the international Group: Credit Agricole Ukraine, Credit Agricole Group Foundation, as well as the regional banks Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie and Crédit Agricole Nord de France.

The priority of the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center is to provide highly qualified medical care to women with high obstetric and perinatal risk, in particular, premature births even at 22 weeks of pregnancy. The hospital helps more than 600 children annually. In particular, the displaced persons from different parts of Ukraine come to the Center for help, including pregnant women who need maximum care, support and comfortable living conditions.

“A year ago, thanks to the assistance of Credit Agricole, we opened a new intensive care unit with fully equipped beds for nursing premature babies. During this time, we have already provided assistance to 225 children, 155 of whom are premature babies and 70 newborns who needed treatment and observation in intensive care,” notes Oleksandr Kachur, General Director of the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center.

Credit Agricole has its own We Care! program, within the framework of which the bank supports orphanages in Ukraine, purchases modern medical equipment for medical institutions throughout the country, and powerful diesel generators for social institutions.

“Since the beginning of the war, the bank has amplified its social stance. UAH 190 million – that’s how much Credit Agricole has already allocated to various charity projects,” says Romuald Le Masson, Board Member of Credit Agricole Ukraine.

“The main principle of the We Care! program is embedded in its name. We care, we strive to implement such charitable initiatives that will bring maximum effect, will be a chance to save someone’s life, will help someone recover, will support someone in difficult circumstances. It is important for us to implement systemic charitable projects that will work for decades for the benefit of Ukrainians,” shares Viktoriia Torianyk, Head of Brand and Communications at Credit Agricole Ukraine.

This charitable initiative is implemented with the assistance of the “Your Support” Foundation.

“One of the most amazing stories of rescue in the new intensive care unit is a girl who was born weighing only 490 grams, so from the very first seconds she was connected to a lung ventilator. This is the result of the incredible work of doctors, modern equipment and, most importantly, the belief that even a tiny life is worth the greatest efforts,” - Valeriia Tatarchuk, founder of Your Support Charity Fund.
