Credit Agricole partners on PolyTECH EDU, a five-week educational program for students designed to help them make first systematic step towards tech career. The project is realized by UNIT.City with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and will run from September 7 to October 9.
About the program
PolyTECH EDU was created as a space where university education meets practical experience in the tech industry. Over the course of five weeks, the participants will work with experts, take part in hands-on modules and workshops, and complete interactive business tasks. The program will be organized according to the following four tracks:
- Tech & Engineering
- Creative Thinking & Marketing
- Career & Self Development
- Artificial Intelligence
The program will take place in online format, allowing students from any region of Ukraine to participate.
Education that brings you closer to the tech industry
One of the key goals of PolyTECH EDU is to help students better understand the opportunities within tech industry while in university. For this reason, the program combines education with practice and interaction with representatives of businesses.
“Ukraine needs new generation of engineers and specialists in tech industry, and to make this happen the youth needs to see prospects for professional development. PolyTECH EDU gives students the opportunity to go beyond their academic curriculum, gain practical experience, work with experts in the industry, and better understand their professional path. We aim to show that technological future exists not only in the imagination, it can be implemented in Ukraine,” notes Pavlo Mykhailiuk, head of the Development at UNIT.City.
The participants will not only gain new knowledge, but also work on practical cases, learn about the approaches used in today’s tech industry, and better understand competencies needed for the future professional growth. This aligns with the broader goal of the PolyTECH Project: to show young people that they don’t have to leave Ukraine to build a career in tech industry, and to strengthen Ukrainian education with the experience and expertise of international companies.
PolyTECH EDU is part of national PolyTECH Project
PolyTECH EDU is the educational component of PolyTECH Project, a national educational and innovative project that brings together technical and polytechnic universities of Ukraine to develop engineering education, promote innovations, and build tech careers in Ukraine. The structure of PolyTECH Project also encompasses the educational component PolyTECH Dual, regional PolyTECH Bootcamps, and final PolyTECH Summit.
The project promotes cooperation among students, young engineers, universities, tech companies, experts, and the government. For students, it offers the opportunity to work on relevant case studies and receive mentorship from industry professionals, while for universities, it provides a way to integrate practical experience and current industry approaches into the educational environment. Last year’s program involved more than 50 higher education institutions and over 1,200 students.
