Ways of informing the creditor about belonging to a protected category

Under Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Settlement of Overdue Debts During the Period of Martial Law in Ukraine" dated 27.07.2022 No.2459-IX, that came into effect on 19.08.2022 (hereinafter – the Law), a consumer that belongs to the protected category and wishes during the period of martial law in Ukraine and within 90 days after its termination or cancellation for the communication to be ceased with consumer’s close persons, his/her representative except for a representative who is not a close person to such consumer, third parties, communication with whom is provided under the consumer loan agreement and who gave consent to such communication, then his/her relatives, representatives, heirs, guarantors or property guarantors inform the creditor or a new creditor of such wish and consumer belonging to a protected category via any means of communication with details posted on the website of such creditor or a new creditor, providing copies of supporting documents about the consumer's belonging to a protected category.

Considering the above, if under the Law consumer (customer of the Bank) belongs to a protected category and wishes during the period of martial law in Ukraine and within 90 days after its termination or cancellation to cease communication of CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK JSC with the consumer’s relatives, his/her representative, except for a representative who is not a close person to such consumer, third parties, communication with whom is provided under the consumer loan agreement and who gave consent to such communication, please inform CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK JSC of it and provide supporting documents about the consumer's belonging to a protected category via following means:

• Via phone - 0 800 30 5555 (calls are free on the territory of Ukraine) or 044 495 22 77 (cost of the phone call is in accordance with your provider’s tariffs) Send a scan of the documents provided by the Law via email to -  Info_creditagricole@credit-agricole.ua
• Send the documents provided by the Law via post to 42/4 Pushkinska str., Kyiv, 01024;
• Submit a written request with the relevant documents enclosed provided under the Law in any of CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK JSC outlets;

BE ADVISED THAT PURSUANT TO THE LAW:

Protected categories include:

а) members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine and special law enforcement agencies, the State Special Transport Service, the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, who are serving in the military on the territory of Ukraine;

b) soldiers who became disabled as a result of an illness related to military service, or as a result of an illness after their release from military service which is related to military service;

c) family members of soldiers who were killed, died or are missing;

d) persons who are in captivity, persons with whom contact has been lost, persons who are missing.

Documents confirming that the consumer belongs to the protected category include: 

а) for members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine and special law enforcement agencies, the State Special Transport Service, the State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, who are serving in the military on the territory of Ukraine, - a certificate sealed with an official seal, signed by the commander (chief, manager) or the person who performs their duties, of the relevant structural unit in which such a military member serves, or by the head of the territorial recruitment and social support center, which carried out measures regarding the conscription of the consumer for military service, in accordance with the form established in Annex No. 2 to the Law of Ukraine. Handwritten certificate is also acceptable;

b) for soldiers who became disabled as a result of an illness related to military service, or as a result of an illness after their release from military service which is related to military service, - war disability certificate;

c) for family members of soldiers who were killed or died, - certificate of family member of the deceased; d) for persons who are in captivity, persons with whom contact has been lost, persons who are missing, for family members of missing soldiers - information provided by a public enterprise acting as a National Information Bureau that a person is held captive or held hostage by the aggressor state, or is listed as lost contact, or missing.

Nevertheless, please note, that pursuant to the Law, the consumer who does not belong to the protected category anymore, is obligated to inform the creditor of the fact within 30 calendar days since he/she ceased belonging to a protected category
