Online event «Macroeconomic review: summary and trends» by Credit Agricole brought together about 300 participants

For the sixth year in a row, Credit Agricole Bank has held its traditional event «Macroeconomic review: summary and trends, 2020-2021». Given the enhanced safety measures due to the confinement, this year event was held online and brought together about 300 participants, in particular, corporate and premium customers of the bank. In his welcome speech, Carlos de Cordoue, the CEO of the bank, focused on the new reality in which the business and the society found themselves. 

“I am happy that it has been the sixth time that we meet at our traditional annual event. Unfortunately, we are behind the screen this year. At the same time, I believe that more than ever, there is a need to share about the economic situation. Nobody can ignore that we are facing a powerful second wave of the corona pandemic. We know that we will have to live with it for a certain period of time. But (and maybe this is a good news), we have learnt to live with this virus. For us it has been a hudge opportunity to develop our digital channels.  We will continue to support our customers and participate in the development of Ukrainian economy», ─ Carlos de Cordoue, the CEO of Credit Agricole Bank, told.   

As part of the online event, the reputable experts of the NBU, Credit Agricole Bank and the Group presented relevant macroeconomic trends in Ukraine and globally.

Dmytro Sologub, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, presented the NBU Macroeconomic and Policy Outlook.

Tania Sollogoub, coordinator of country risk and geopolitical analysis in economic research block Credit Agricole Group, shared the information about macroeconomic impacts of COVID-19 on the emerging countries, as well as major geopolitical risks.

Oleksandr Pecherytsyn, Chief Economist, Credit Agricole Ukraine shared the analysis about the impact of COVID-19 on the Ukrainian economy.
