November is Diversity month at Credit Agricole

27 October 2023

Every November, Credit Agricole together with the entire international Group celebrates Diversity month. Throughout November, awareness communicative campaign is held by the bank that includes online events and surveys that all employees can participate in.

The diversity principle is asserted on the highest level – in the Equality Charter that Credit Agricole signed in 2020 and which guarantees equal rights and opportunities to all employees regardless of gender, age, health status, race, skin colour, national or social background, language, religion, political beliefs, etc.

This year, the Charter will be updated to address the new contemporary challenges.

“We are all different, we are all equal – is this November’s motto at the bank. As a socially responsible business, we cultivate the principles of inclusivity and diversity, which is reflected in our corporate culture and customer service standards. We are pleased that the awareness level concerning this issue is very high: over 90% of our colleagues-survey respondents believe it is important to foster the diversity principle at the bank. We are convinced that it is through respect and support of human rights that the bank promotes the societal progress and unity, ensures its own resilience and long-term growth” – shares Olena Urusova, HR Director at Credit Agricole Bank.

True testament to gender equality is the fact that to date, 56% of management positions at the bank is held by women: heads of divisions, directors of outlets, etc. Credit Agricole also upholds age diversity: 11 of our employees are below the age of 20 and 80 employees are 60 or above.

The Bank also supports those in need: 42 employees serve in the Armed Forces with their jobs secure and salaries paid. Adhering to the inclusivity principle, the bank employs 106 people with disabilities. At Credit Agricole, we also hold motherhood in high regard: 152 employees are currently on maternity leave.

In the wartime, Credit Agricole is supporting the team and offers employees the most secure and comfortable working conditions, namely for the head office employees to work in the office or remotely.

Credit Agricole is rising to the challenges of today, in particular regarding the flexible work scheduleFor the bank, the main prerequisites of continuing cooperation include performance, constant engagement at work, albeit remote, participation in team activitiesThose who comply with these terms keep working at the bank even from abroad. Colleagues in Ukraine are welcome to work in the office following a certain schedule, we keep fostering amicable corporate culture and strive to fill the office routine with engaging eventsSuch approach promotes the diversity principle within the team”, - says Olha PeronkovaHead of Methodology at HR Department of Credit Agricole Bank.
