On August 20, the second online meeting with premium customers of Credit Agricole Bank took place as a part of the Premium Talks project. Participants of the event received relevant macroeconomic forecast, and particularly the detailed analysis of the impact of COVID-19 and quarantine measures on economic of Ukraine and its financial sector. During the meeting, factors influencing the foreign currency exchange, inflation, and key rate of the National Bank of Ukraine were discussed, and estimated values of these indicators through the end of the current year were provided.
“The most probable scenario is U-shape economic recovery. Although sovereign bond portfolio has reduced by over UAH 30 bln since the pandemic outbreak, foreign-currency and gold reserves have reached the level of five-month import,” stated Oleksandr Pecherytshyn, Chief Economist of Credit Agricole Bank, during his presentation.
The meeting participants took interest in securities market, and namely price change for different types of assets, as well as the list of current investment vehicles.
