This morning, the Crédit Agricole Group reported underlying net income Group share of €6.2 billion for the first nine months of 2021 – up +31.9% compared to the first nine months of 2020 – and €2.2 billion for the third quarter. Underlying net income Group share for Crédit Agricole S.A. reached €4.0 billion over nine months – up +37.9% compared to 2020 over the same period – and amounted to €1.4 billion for the third quarter.
The Group reported very good results, in line with previous quarters. Business activity and customer capture have been robust. It is the unparalleled consistency of its performance, driven by our Universal Customer-focused Banking model, that first and foremost sets the Group apart. It is a model which generates a constantly renewed organic growth potential and which is rooted in comprehensive and lasting customer relationships. The final step in the simplification process of the Crédit Agricole S.A. capital structure will take place on 16 November with the full unwinding of the Switch mechanism. This transaction, as with this year’s two share buyback programs, is part of an attractive, long-term shareholder compensation policy.
