Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei with assistance of UNICEF allocated EUR 25,000 to support war victims in Ukraine

20 October 2022

Recently, Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei with assistance of UNICEF allocated EUR 25,000 - the part of the savings and self-contribution related to the bank’s 5-year TWD solidarity-based green bond issuance to support war victims in Ukraine. The aggregate monetary contribution in the amount of nearly EUR 50,000 was donated to UNICEF to support its effort in helping children and families in desperate need of safety, stability and protection in Ukraine, as well as to Plastic Odyssey, a partner of Crédit Agricole Group since 2018, to contribute to its effort of reducing plastic pollution in the ocean. TWD solidarity-based green bond has been issued under the Crédit Agricole Group Green Bond Framework. The unique solidarity-based feature comes from collective efforts and a shared partnership among bond investors, joint-lead managers, and Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei branch.

Our colleagues in Taipei as well as broader society wanted to express their solidarity with Ukraine. A major monetary contribution campaign arranged by the local authority gathered around US 33 mln from the society in March 2022.

Credit Agricole Group supports Ukraine in the war time. In the first days of the war, the Group started the Emergency solidarity fund of 10 million euros and the whole big Credit Agricole family represented in 47 countries demonstrates its incredible solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
