2.3 million hryvnias for Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center from Crédit Agricole

Recently a new intensive care unit opened in Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center, specifically a neonatal intensive care unit. UAH 2.3 million was allocated by Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie and Crédit Agricole Ukraine for the major repairs of the facilities, thus increasing the number of beds to 12. The unit is constructed in compliance with all the medical standards and requirements: special medical ventilation and air conditioning, all the state-of-the-art panels. The project was implemented with the support of “Your Support” Charitable Foundation.

Credit Agricole Brie Picardie is the regional bank of Credit Agricole Group with headquarters in Amiens, France.

“Since the beginning of the war, the number of prematurely born children in Ukraine has increased significantly. The renovated intensive care unit will make it possible not only to save children with critically low body weight, but also to ensure a prolonged artificial lung ventilation, care and stabilization of babies with birthweight in the range of 1000-1500 g. We are extremely grateful to our French partners for the opportunity to drastically improve the comfort of working conditions at our perinatal center, for caring about the lives and health of the Ukrainian children who are born in our country in this trying time”, - noted Oleksandr Kachur, General Director of Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise of Kyiv Regional Council “Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center”.

Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center systemically provides highly specialized ob-gyn and neonatal medical care to women in Kyiv region, city of Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. The hospital treats over 600 children yearly.

While the country is in continual struggle for its life, we receive displaced citizens from various regions of Ukraine, including pregnant women. The latter are the ones who require the maximum protection, support and comfortable staying conditions. Being a socially responsible bank, Credit Agricole has allocated UAH 88 million to charity since the war started. All charitable initiatives have been implemented as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility program WeCare! and are primarily directed for the purchase of medical equipment.

Together we have implemented over 35 charitable projects worth UAH 88 million, supported 20 hospitals by purchasing 67 units of expert-level medical equipment.
