In cooperation with the charity foundation “Your Support”, Credit Agricole purchased a power generator costed UAH 1,126,000 with capacity of 100 kW for IPAG. The device will help support the continuous operation of the obstetric and gynecological building and the kitchen during power cuts.
“We have already gone through the situation of long-term power cuts: 6 and 8 hours. Thanks to power generators with 7-10 kW capacity, we managed to support the operation of critical equipment so that the blackout does not impact the health of newborn babies and their mothers. Now, with the new power generator, we will be able to continue saving little lives even when there is no electricity supply. We thank Credit Agricole for their involvement and systemic support of our institution”, Liubov Sliepova, the Chief Doctor of IPAG, tells.
Annually, about 20,000 patients – women and children from various regions of Ukraine – are treated in the Institute. This is the only health care institution in the country where extra complicated operations are performed at different stages of a child development.
“Children are the future of Ukraine, and their health is in the hands of professionals of the institutions like IPAG. It is not the first time that Credit Agricole supports the Institute with the required new equipment. But in times of blackouts, the availability of power becomes crucial in order for all the required equipment to operate and for doctors not to make surgeries in the light of torches. Therefore, we decided to purchase a powerful generator for IPAG as soon as we can to cover all the needs of the institution. We join our efforts for the sake of our future”, Oleksandr Kurkin, Director of Proximity and Network of Credit Agricole Bank, adds.
Specialists of the institute carry out scientific activity. They invent the most effective methods of treating children, even prenatally. Thus, thanks to IPAG specialists, the children who would be born with disabilities have a chance to be born healthy.
«This project is about good doing and caring. The demand for power generators is very high due to blackouts. Everybody needs them: from entrepreneurs to farmers. And it is really difficult to find quickly a powerful and good generator. But we managed! We implemented this project in a couple of weeks: from the idea to the implementation. But most of all, we are pleased that our well-coordinated cooperation with Credit Agricole has a tangible outcome: electricity for sick kids even in the hours of power cuts”, Valeria Tatarchuk, the Head of the charity foundation “Your Support”, comments.
Charity aid is an important part of Credit Agricole activities. Just in 2022, the charity aid amounted to UAH 21,000,000, of which more than UAH 13,000,000 – to help hospitals.
