Information hygiene

We care about your security, yet it is your vigilance that shields you against fraud. Despite constant improvement of the bank security systems and methods of countering fraudsters, it is important to stay vigilant and follow simple security rules.

Never disclose the following information to third parties, including bank employees

  • Full card number
  • Three-digit CVV/CVC code on the back of your card
  • PIN-code of the card
  • Passcodes used to log in to your mobile banking CA+
  • One-time passcode sent via SMS / push notifications or QR-code
  • Code word (unless you initiated contact with the bank yourself)

Bank employee will never

  • Ask you to transfer the money to a more “secure account”
  • Ask you to install a foreign application for a transaction
  • Personally contact you using a personal phone, e-mail or messenger
  • Rush you and demand you make a decision immediately

Be vigilant

  • Do not follow foreign links. To access the website through the link that you received via e-mail you should manually type it into the address bar of your browser.
  • Check the website URLs for spelling and the presence of extraneous characters.
  • Install only verified apps downloaded from official Play Markets on your smartphones and other devices.
  • Set a reliable password and two-factor authentication.
  • Activate push or SMS-notifications to track your expenses.
  • Be vigilant when someone asks you to send them a small amount of money until evening via messengers. Call this person and ask them about it.
  • Avoid sharing confidential information in chats.
  • When entering card details for online payment check the security of SSL connection (usage of https:// protocol, valid open site encryption certificate). The majority of popular browsers use the padlock icon near the address bar; you can click on it to learn more information (connection type, encryption, certificate information).
