Modern medical equipment worth almost UAH 6 million for Khmelnytsky Regional Hospital

11 August 2023

Credit Agricole Group with the support of Credit Agricole Ukraine and the charity foundation “Your support” has recently purchased modern medical equipment worth nearly 6 million hryvnias for Khmelnytsky Regional Hospital. This equipment is already saving patients’ lives.

In particular, eight functional beds were installed in the intensive care unit and the urology department; an expensive state-of-the-art X-ray table replaced the old one, which had been in use since the 1970s, in the thoracic surgery department. In fact, this department is the only one in Khmelnytsky region where thoracic surgical intervention is performed.

Credit Agricole purchased 4 modern patient monitors for the anaesthesiology and intensive care unit, which make it possible to monitor the patient’s condition and react to deviations in the human body's indicators. And the new portable ultrasound system was essential for emergency surgical care.

“The ultrasound is used for every minimally invasive surgery on kidney or ureter. In fact, we use it seven times a day. The new machine is much better than the one we had before, so the quality of surgical procedures increases when we use a modern ultrasound machine," says Volodymyr Monastyrsky, urologist, deputy director for surgery of the Khmelnytsky Regional Hospital.

The hospital provides highly specialized care to the residents of the region, wounded, injured and internally displaced persons. In 2022 alone, more than 26,000 patients were treated here and more than 14,000 surgeries were performed.

For 7 years the Bank has been implementing good projects in Ukraine under the CSR program “We Care!”. We are glad to be useful to the society and help this regional hospital. We purchased all the equipment in line with the request of the hospital in order to meet its current needs, especially for surgeries. Once again, we are proving with real deeds that you can always rely on Credit Agricole!” says Stephane Fallick, member of the Management Board of Credit Agricole Bank.

Credit Agricole takes an active social stance: since the beginning of the full-scale war, the bank has allocated 26 million hryvnias to various charitable projects. Along with this, the international Group contributed 700 thousand euros, and the Regional Banks of the Group – 435 thousand euros to support Ukraine.
