Credit Agricole provided new support of UAH 435 000 for medical equipment to combat COVID-19

11 November 2020

Credit Agricole Bank implemented the fourth wave of charity and, with the support of “Your support” Charity Fund, purchased medical equipment worth UAH 435 000 for the Ternopil Communal Children’s Hospital and Kyiv Clinical Hospital No. 17. These funds were used to purchase a patient monitor, an infusion syringe pump and an electrocardiograph to help diagnose and fight the disease.

Ternopil Communal Children’s Hospital and Kyiv Clinical Hospital No. 17 are hospital bases defined for provision of medical care to patients infected with coronavirus COVID-19. It is not the first time that Credit Agricole supports them. This spring, the bank, in partnership with Mastercard, purchased medical equipment worth UAH 1 800 000.

“The situation with COVID-19 is very complicated at the moment: hospitals are overcrowded with coronavirus patients, medical equipment is critically lacking. So charitable business initiatives literally save lives. I would like to emphasize that Credit Agricole has a systematic approach to charity: together with them, we have already implemented four waves of charity and we do not stop there. We are grateful to our partners for their prompt assistance to hospitals and patients and for not remaining indifferent to the problems of others,” commented Valeria Tatarchuk, Founder and CEO of “Your support” Charity Fund.

Since the beginning of 2020, within the program “We Care!”, Credit Agricole contributed more than UAH 6.7 million to purchase medical equipment for the support hospitals in Kyiv and Ternopil and intensive care unit in Chernivtsi regional hospital.

"Ukraine has already faced the second powerful wave of the coronavirus disease. To help society overcome its consequences, it is necessary to act quickly and systemically at the same time. Credit Agricole was one of the first to respond to medical requests for help in the fight against COVID-19. In just six months, the bank has realized four waves of charity and contributed more than UAH 6.7 million to purchase medical equipment for hospitals. Charity always lives in the heart of Credit Agricole. And we will be very happy if our example inspires others to do good deeds as well,” commented Stephane Fallick, Board Member of Credit Agricole Bank.

Experts of the “Vlast Deneg” magazine recognized the largest charity initiative in the Bank's history – support provided to hospitals in fighting COVID-19 – and for the second year in a row, recognized the program "We Care!" by Credit Agricole among the TOP 25 Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
