Credit Agricole presents infographics report “Agribusiness of Ukraine in the Wartime”, created in partnership with Latifundist.com and Top Lead

24 January 2023

24 January is the release date of the annual infographic report “Agribusiness of Ukraine” for 2021-2022, containing the analysis by Credit Agricole and partners of how the war has affected the key indicators of the agrarian sector. For the eighth year in a row, the bank is a partner of the project and takes active part in preparing analytics and content creation.

“We sow – we reap, we fight – we win” – is not merely a name of this year’s report, it is our daily routine. As a strategic partner for the agribusiness, we continue creating additional value for our customers and the industry in general – we share our expertise with the market participants. In the context of war, it is more important than ever to have access to the relevant and accurate information and analytics about the market. We keep supporting our customers, financing the industry, as agribusiness is one of the key areas of development for Credit Agricole and the entire country. We are stronger together!” - says Nataliia Porvina, Head of Agro Business Support Department at Credit Agricole Bank.

You can get the electronic copy of the report from your personal manager at Credit Agricole Bank or at the link. It will be of use to anyone working in agribusiness and the adjacent industries. This edition of “Agribusiness of Ukraine in the Wartime” contains 33 pages of the infographics grouped by the following areas: agribusiness in the wartime, crop production, animal husbandry, food processing, infrastructure and services, including those in finance. All the information and statistics are presented in the form of clear and eye-catching infographics.

“Past season should have been the record one for the Ukrainian agrarian sector and even further strengthened our positions, yet in February russia ruined all our plans. Despite all odds, the brave Agrarians of Ukraine demonstrated their resilience and preparedness to provide everyone with produce. Year results highlight the above: 67 million tons of grain and oil crops were harvested by the end of the year, while the export of the agrarian produce reached USD 21.1 billion in 11 months of 2022, which surpasses 50% of the total export. The report will be a practical and analytical tool for the international community to offer a more robust support for Ukraine as a whole and the agrarians in particular”, – notes Aliona Diachenko, project manager and head of analytics at Latifundist Media.

The infographics report was created thanks to the joint efforts of Latifundist Media agro-media holding, content marketing agency Top Lead with the support of Credit Agricole Bank, EFSE Development Facility and financial support of the

European Union as part of EU4Business initiative. Views expressed in the publication in no way can be considered as reflecting the official position of the European Union.

“We are honoured to support such important initiative that showcases concrete challenges faced by the agrarian sector of Ukraine. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with our partner Credit Agricole Bank and impart the local agribusiness with a profound understanding of how the war affects the sector. EFSE Development Facility and other stakeholders are eager to engage their valuable experience for the potential solutions and support the local companies in identifying the most suitable measures to minimize the risks”, – adds Andrea Hagmann, Chairperson at the EFSE Development Facility.

“This report highlights how and due to what Ukrainian agrarians prevailed in the year 2022. As per usual, in the infographics form and with a plethora of useful and exclusive data, the report demonstrates the transformation of the agribusiness and it taking on the new shape. Along with the prospects opening before the companies that discovered ways to overcome this year’s challenges through modification of strategy, new directions and creation of stable business models”, – Stanislav Shum, CEO of Top Lead.
