Credit Agricole Bank introduces eco-paper use initiative in all its outlets and offices

28 September 2016

Credit Agricole Bank seeks to be socially responsible and sustain the image of a “green bank”. In the framework of the global corporate social responsibility project «We Care», the bank continuously introduces and invites its employees to participate in numerous “green initiatives”.

In June 2016, pilot project was launched in the head office and several outlets of Credit Agricole Bank, which consists in using German-made eco-paper «Lettura» produced of 100% recyclable material and certified according to FSC standards.

Why is the bank introducing this initiative?

«Credit Agricole Bank is a sustainable and eco-conscious company. By starting to use eco-paper, the bank sustains the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and also the national campaign «GO GREEN!» initiated by the UN representative office in Ukraine. We received a lot of positive feedback in favor of this “green initiative”. So in September all offices and outlets of Credit Agricole Bank switched to eco-paper. We do hope that our customers will also support our striving for being a socially responsible and eco-conscious bank», - Ganna Zolotina, Chief of Staff to COO of Credit Agricole Bank, commented.

Credit Agricole Bank cares about its employees’ health. According to the recommendations of ophthalmologists, to reduce eyes strain, prevent eyes fatigue and eye irritation, dazzling white paper should be avoided.

Credit Agricole Bank is a European bank. Use of eco-paper is fully in line with European practices. On top of that, there is a special technology in Europe which enables taking into consideration the specifics of vision and ensures better quality of eco-paper in the course of its production.

Credit Agricole Bank is guided by the highest standards. «Lettura» paper is marked by the “Blue angel” mark – that is the first and the oldest mark used for certification of goods and services which are fully compliant with the modern level of environmental safety.
Credit Agricole Bank cares about saving. According to our pre-estimations, if the bank switches to using paper made of recyclable material, it may achieve 14% of annual saving.
