Credit Agricole Bank renovates children sports ground in “Sportium”

Credit Agricole Bank supported the reconstruction of the multifunctional sports ground in the children center “Sportium”, Mykolaiv region. In late May, the first visitors of one of the largest children sports and recreation centers in Ukraine will be able to test the renovated ground.

It has been the second year in a row that the bank facilitates the reconstruction of the children sports center “Sportium”. In 2018, Credit Agricole made a large-scale reconstruction of the swimming pool that hosted the all-Ukrainian swimming competition in the summer. More than 4,000 children and other center visitors from across the country could test the renovated swimming pool.    

“Thanks to financial support of Credit Agricole Bank, last year we could fully renovate the 25-meter swimming pool that hosted swimming and water polo competitions. To prepare for the summer season 2019, the bank helped us reconstruct the universal sports ground of more than 1000 m². We are delighted that children will have the field to practice football, volleyball and basketball since “Sportium” is one of the largest sports camps in Ukraine where young athletes have get their summer training”, Yurii Loschyts, Director of Children Sports and Recreation Center “Sportium”, comments.   

Opening of the new sports ground will contribute to the well-balanced development of children and will allow to add sports events to the recreation programs for the benefit of young generation’s health. Support of children center “Sportium” reconstruction is a part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility program “We Care!”.
