Credit Agricole Bank supports Children’s Road Safety project

Credit Agricole joined the Children’s Road Safety project initiated by Media Group Autocenter. The bank is the only financial partner of the project.

The first event of this initiative with participation of the bank took place in Lyceum No. 100 “Podil” in Kyiv. The organizers and representatives of the National Police gave educational and entertainment lesson dedicated to road safety and distributed road safety leaflets to kids.

We believe that it is possible to significantly decrease the number of accidents on the road involving children, if they learn to be cautious and careful. As a leading bank on the car lending market of Ukraine we recognize our responsibility for increase of number of cars in the city streets so we are concerned about the safety of drivers and pedestrians. Children’s Road Safety project is an opportunity to draw attention of parents, authorities and car drivers to the problems of road infrastructure and encourage the public to take active actions,” Roman Bunich, Head of Long and Alternative Channels Development Department of Credit Agricole Bank, commented.

The project is intended to cover a particularly important public issue – children’s safety on the road. The aim of the initiative is to teach children traffic rules while playing, emphasize the importance of following the traffic rules, inspect crosswalks near schools, and install traffic lights on problem sections of the road.

Representatives of local and state authorities, the National Police and auto business are involved in inspections of roads and crosswalks.
