Credit Agricole Group commits to bringing all its energy to recovery of Ukraine

«Credit Agricole Group commits to bringing all its energy to recovery: for customers, for territory, for households, large corporates etc.” – was the key message delivered by Philippe Brassac, CEO of Credit Agricole SA, during his 3rd visit to Kyiv, recently in January 2025.

The Group has expressed and demonstrated complete solidarity with Ukrainian employees and society. Credit Agricole has launched a €10 million solidarity fund to meet the needs of employees and Ukrainians affected by the war.

Credit Agricole has remained true to its enduring values of customer focus, accountability and solidarity for 130 years. For more than 30 years, the Group has been committed to contributing to the Ukraine’s development. And nowadays, after three years of war Credit Agricole Group confirms its statement of support for Ukraine by concrete actions.

  • Credit Agricole Ukraine and the Group allocated 150 m UAH for charity, mainly for the purchase of medical equipment for hospitals. This is one of the largest amounts among banks. The biggest and most life-saving project was the creation of a new intensive care unit for newborns at the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center worth of UAH 45 million.
  • In 2024 in respond to unprecedented situation in Ukraine, Credit Agricole presented its updated strategy – AIR: Aim is to Invest in Recovery. The bank is keen to invest in the economy through investments in businesses, recovery of climate and energy efficiency, recovery of social sphere through charity program We Care!, recovery for our employees through support for veterans, psychological and material assistance, career opportunities and recovery of the country through high taxes paid and strategic investments.
  • Even in the war time Credit Agricole Ukraine demonstrates stable financial performance, which highlights disciplined risk management and customer trust. Bank’s net profit is 4.1 billion UAH for the financial year of 2024.
  • More than UAH 8 billion - the total amount of taxes and fees for the period from 2022 to 2024. This represents substantial contribution to the stability of the country during challenging times.
  • As a socially responsible employer, the Credit Agricole is doing everything it can to support its 2200 employees: no layoffs, full payment of salaries, solidarity bonuses, insurance, including online medical assistance, additional support for those affected by the war, relocation of employees to safer regions and professional psychological assistance.
