Credit Agricole Group results in the first half of 2017: good bottom-line performance and strong business momentum

On 3 August 2017 Crédit Agricole Group reported net income Group share of €2.1 billion for the second quarter of 2017. Its underlying* net income Group share came to €2 billion, an increase of more than 23% compared with the second quarter of 2016. Crédit Agricole S.A. reported net income Group share of €1.35 billion. Its underlying net income Group share came to €1.17 billion, a record quarterly high since 2011 and an increase of 43% compared with the second quarter of 2016. This bottom-line performance once again reflects strong business momentum in the Group's business activities coupled with tight control over costs and a declining cost of risk. The Group's financial robustness was further strengthened this quarter, with a fully-loaded Basel III Common Equity Tier 1 ratio of 12.4% for Crédit Agricole S.A. and 15.0% for Crédit Agricole Group, among the best in the sector and well above the regulatory requirements.
