Сar lending process is simplified

15 February 2019

Since February 2019, it will be easier to open a car loan in view of enactment of the law “On Amendments to Some Regulatory Acts of Ukraine for Resuming Lending”. Credit Agricole became one of the first banks that cancelled document notarization requirement, thus, having made the procedure of car lending simpler.

”This law is aimed at enhancing lenders’ rights as well as at elimination of the schemes allowing the debtors to avoid performing their obligations. It will allow to reduce legal risks of banks arising from future loans and to be more efficient in current problem debt workout. Moreover, it will facilitate further resuming of lending and simplification of banking service terms for customers, in particular, it provides for the possibility to conclude electronic agreements and collateral agreements in a simple, non-notarized form. This will save time and money for the customers”, Andrii Sydorov, the Head of Legal Department of Credit Agricole Bank, comments

The document was drafted by the banking community with the help and support of the National Bank of Ukraine, Independent Association of Ukrainian Banks, and by representatives of Credit Agricole Bank.

”Credit Agricole was one of the developers of the project. As our bank is a car lending leader, we did our best to save time and money of our clients. Amendments to the law will allow to make loan documentation cheaper and will improve the process of loan disbursement. Moreover, the borrower will not have to incur additional notarization expenses, including for amendments to collateral agreement. From now on, all such documents can be executed in a simple written form. I am convinced that the amendments will contribute to activation of lending market”, Denys KrytskyiHead of Retail Business Support of Credit Agricole Bank, comments.

It is worth reminding that Credit Agricole is a recognized leader of car loan market in Ukraine. For two years in a row, the bank has been achieving UAH 2 billion of issued car loans.
