The other day, Credit Agricole has donated a state-of-the-art laparoscopy tower system of a German manufacturer worth almost 5 million hryvnias to the Myrhorod Intensive Care Hospital. This equipment will significantly increase the quality of treatment of serious diseases in patients, for example, this concerns surgeries to remove the gallbladder, appendicitis or to eliminate the consequences of an ectopic pregnancy. This good initiative was implemented with the assistance of “Your Support” charitable foundation.
"Until now, we had a very outdated laparoscopy tower system. And it was not an integral system, but a mix, assembled from various equipment. One wheel is from one machine, the other from another. Now it will be a modern tower system that meets all requirements. This will enable us to provide minimally invasive surgical interventions to our patients with a therapeutic and diagnostic purpose," commented Viktor Kharchenko, Director of the Myrhorod Intensive Care Hospital.
"We are working in the interest of our customers and society. Social responsibility is an inherent characteristic of Credit Agricole since the beginning of our operation in Ukraine, which has already lasted for 31 years. I am delighted to hand over the equipment purchased by the bank for the Myrhorod Intensive Care Hospital today. This is not the first project that we are implementing on the territory of Poltava region, but it is the most large-scale," said Mykhailo Herashchenko, Head of Branch Group at Credit Agricole.
This laparoscopic tower system will enable doctors to make a more accurate diagnosis, and surgical interventions will be almost imperceptible for patients. Also, the term of their stay in the hospital after a surgery will be significantly decreased.
"With the help of such new equipment we can perform minimally invasive intervention. This is when we make 3-4 punctures instead of abdominal wall incision with a length of 25-30 - 40 cm. Instrumentation, a video camera, other manipulators are introduced through them, and thus the surgery is performed. Using camera, we can get as close as possible to an organ. With the help of manipulators, we can move the organ, turn it, look at it from all sides," noted Oleksandr Siabruk, Head of the Surgical Department at the Myrhorod Intensive Care Hospital.
