Credit Agricole Bank is among the most profitable banks of Ukraine based on 2017 results

According to financial results of the year 2017, Credit Agricole Bank was listed among the TOP-3 most profitable banks of Ukraine. The bank achieved a record net result of 1110 MUAH in 2017, an increase by +302 MUAH or +37% as compared to 2016.

“Previous year was a record one for our bank. Compared with financial results of 2016, our bank has significantly improved its performance indicators, which resulted in ranking third among the most profitable banks. This achievement indicates that the development strategy of our bank was chosen correctly. We are successful at achieving consistently high financial results due to prudent risk policy, balanced revenue structure and one of the best cost-to-income ratios. We continue to pursue “Horizon” strategy launched in 2016 and remain particularly focused on agri-agro, car lending and supporting large international companies. Powerful synergy within the bank and at the Group level gives us tremendous energy for further development and motivates us to implement the best practices of our European colleagues” – Jean-Paul Piotrowski, the CEO of Credit Agricole Bank, comments. 

Not only was the last year record-breaking in terms of net profit, but also it yielded remarkable results in business lines: 2 140 billion UAH of car loans and 777 MUAH of cash loans were disbursed.  

2017 was prominent not only due to financial results, but also due to the achievements in the sphere of corporate social responsibility. The bank invested heavily in staff professional development, training and motivational projects. At the same time, the bank has significantly developed the CSR program “We Care!” by means of expanding the geography and directions of help, as well as through doubling the financing. Credit Agricole Bank paid particular attention to philanthropic initiatives. Bank managed to implement 10 charitable projects aimed at supporting 6 orphanages, medical institutions, and non-profit organizations and launched a number of green initiatives.
