The 11th issue of the annual info-book Agribusiness of Ukraine in 2023/24 MY

07 January 2025

We have prepared the annual infographic guide “Agribusiness of Ukraine” for 2023/24 MY, where we show how the agricultural sector of Ukraine has been transforming in the third year of full-scale war. The guide is available for download online at the link. The infographic guide was created by the experts of Latifundist Media agro media holding and Top Lead visual content agency with the support of Credit Agricole Bank.

This year, the issue of “Agribusiness of Ukraine” includes 50 pages of infographics about the agricultural sector's performance in Ukraine:

  • agribusiness in 2023-24;
  • crop production;
  • animal husbandry;
  • processing industry;
  • infrastructure and services;
  • financing of the agrarian sector;
  • sustainable agriculture.

In addition to the traditional analysis of agribusiness results for the past season, new pages have been added to cover topical issues: agricultural specialization of Ukrainian regions and its transformation during the years of full-scale invasion, occupation of agricultural land and its impact on the production of major crops, the consequences of bombing the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant for the agricultural sector, as well as climate change in Ukraine and the impact of the war on climate conditions.

“When preparing this handbook, we sought to better understand and reflect how the Ukrainian agricultural sector has been able to adapt to the new realities that have emerged since February 24, 2022. The full-scale russian invasion has posed unprecedented challenges to Ukraine's agricultural sector, requiring rapid and decisive change. At the same time, we are witnessing the transformation of all aspects of the industry, from production processes to the search for new opportunities to expand and diversify markets. This guide is the result of our efforts to highlight these changes”, – shares Aliona Diachenko, project manager and head of analytics at Latifundist Media.

All the info-guide issues for 11 years can be downloaded from the project website.

“The new issue of the infographic guide “Agribusiness of Ukraine” captures the transformation of the agricultural sector that has been ongoing in recent years and indicates the areas in which it will take place in the coming season. It is time for agribusinesses that have solved the problems of financing, logistics, storage, and exports to prepare for EU compliance and sustainable farming. The eleventh edition of the guide clearly shows the positions from which agricultural producers are entering the new season and the challenges they will have to face”, — Stanislav Shum, CEO Top Lead.

“For 10 years now, we have been working with our partners to create the infographic guide for agribusiness, sharing our expertise and market analytics. In 2024, we witnessed the negative impact of the hot summer on yields in many regions of Ukraine. Companies that have adopted sustainable agricultural practices are already demonstrating resilience to climate change and adaptation to changing environmental conditions. Therefore, in response to climate challenges, we continue to emphasize sustainable development in the InfoBook. Credit Agricole strives to actively engage domestic agrarians in the transition to sustainable practices and support regenerative agriculture. We continue supporting our customers, financing the industry, and sharing our expertise”, - comments Nataliia Porvina, Head of Agribusiness Support Department and ESG Credit Agricole Bank.

The English version of the infographic guide will be published in January 2025.
